As advocates for businesses, KJK recently sent a letter to Senators Sherrod Brown and Rob Portman urging them to act to reverse IRS Notice 2020-32, which significantly reduces the benefits of the PPP and negatively impacts small businesses trying to survive in the post-COVID economic landscape. As a result of the Notice, businesses are taxed on their PPP loans – which was not the intent of Congress when the program was created.
